Major Expansion for MFSL in 2004
Las Vegas, Nevada – With several new and innovative product lines debuting at CES,
2004 is already full steam ahead for Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab of Sebastopol, CA.
Drawing upon critical insight derived from several decades of practical application
and achievement within the field of sound reproduction, Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab
(MFSL) is proud to announce:
During the initial stage of its come back, Mobile Fidelity concentrated solely on
rebuilding its digital music catalog and earning the critical respect and customer
loyalty that has made the label the most respected audiophile company in the world.
From 2002 –2003 diverse releases from Miles Davis, the Kinks, John Lennon, John
Coltrane, Aimee Mann, Ravel, Patricia Barber, Los Lobos and others have won a
steady stream of praise and awards from critics and fans alike. In 2004, MFSL plans to
maintain its musical legacy while leveraging its considerable brand equity into new
arenas of product development.
Designed initially for use in Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab’s world
acclaimed mastering facilities, the ORIGINAL MASTER
LOUDSPEAKERs offer promising price/performance value ideally
suited for the home entertainment, pro audio, and audiophile
hardware markets. The OML-1 Monitor (SRP $1,500) and the
OML-2 Tower (SRP $3,000) utilize proprietary custom-made
drivers, crossovers, cabinets, and hardware. Exhibiting superior
dispersion characteristics, spectacular imaging and depth,
extended dynamic range, natural tonality, and extremely
accurate frequency response, the OMLs are offered at an
incredible value oriented price.
On the vinyl frontier, MFSL is pleased to debut GAIN 2 Ultra Analog 180g, half speed,
ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDINGs by John Lennon, Aimee Mann, and Isaac Hayes at this
years CES exhibition.
MFSL is particularly excited to introduce the Ultradisc CD-R! Featuring 24k Gold for
superior reflectivity, no corrosion, and dramatically improved resistance to heat and
light to ensure optimum storage longevity and file retrieval for important data, audio,
graphic and other digital files
MFSL’s Ultradisc UHR SACD series continues with new releases by Jim Hall, Blood
Sweat & Tears, R.L. Burnside, Aimee Mann and a spectacular surround version of
Mussorgsky’s Pictures At An Exhibition.
The Ultradisc II Gold CD series continues with additional solo releases by John
Lennon and upcoming releases from Frank Sinatra.
