Questionnaire created by Dan Rubin, copy editor.
Respondent: Carolyn Counnas, Zesto Audio.
What’s the “elevator pitch” description of your company?
Zesto Audio is a “Made in California” manufacturer of fine analog electronics specializing in modern vacuum tube technology designed for the 21st century listener.
What makes your company and products special – how do they stand out from the pack?
Zesto Audio just made the cover of The Absolute Sound in May and the July cover of Stereophile. Our products are considered by many to most reliable, musical and beautiful in the industry.
Which of your products do you plan to demonstrate at CAS 2017?
Exhibiting will be Zesto’s new Tèssera Phonostage, the Leto Preamp and the Eros Monoblocks.
Which sorts of CAS attendees should be interested to see and hear the products you will be demonstrating – and why?
Anyone who wants the most musical presentation from their analog and digital sources. We will be spinning lots of vinyl.
What do you like most about exhibiting at smaller, regional audio shows such as CAS 2017?
You have the opportunity to spend more time with the attendees.
In your product space, what are you most excited about in terms of technology and market trends?
Modern tube design. What most people don’t know is tubes are faster than solid state. It’s faster to go through air than silicone. Even though tube technology dates back to the 1930’s, it is a relatively underdeveloped technology and the possibilities for high end audio are exciting.
