October 31, 2018 – Parker, Colorado: Amsterdam-based high-end audio manufacturer Metaxas, represented in the U.S. by Aaudio Imports, manufactures a complete system of electronics and speakers. Among them is a headphone amp/preamp christened, ‘Marquis.’
Priced at $6,750, the Marquis comes in a CNC-machined aluminum block in the shape of a human skull, available in one of ten aluminum colors or automotive paint finishes.
The Marquis’ CNC-machined base encloses the power supply to keep all stray RFI and noise from the delicate, low-level signal stages, with optional rechargeable battery pack for over 5 hours of use.
It can also function as a preamplifier with three pairs of RCA inputs and another pair for outputs.
