Whether your knowledge of audio show is from actually going to shows or strictly from show reports, I promise that you have no idea of the amount of work involved in transforming a hotel room into a showroom where your equipment will sound at least respectable.

Think about it for a minute:

First, your gear has to be shipped to the venue. Let me tell you there is nothing scarier in High End Audio than shipping big, heavy, expensive gear.

Then after you get the gear to the hotel you have to get it to your room and unpack it with the knowledge that on Sunday night and Monday morning you have to pack most of it back up and ship it back.

Then the real work begins: trying to get good sound in a hotel room.

Well, most of the vendors pulled it off with amazing success. The more full-range speakers all had a little problem with the bass exciting the rooms, but overall the hard work paid off.
