This week came up and bit me in the … I wasn’t expecting it to pick up at the end of the week, so let’s tuck in:
- Kansas Smitty’s Things Happened Here dropped yesterday on the 26th. I watched the album launch on YouTube and then proceeded to the band’s Bandcamp page to purchase and download the album:

- Phoebe Bridgers’ Punisher was new to me and so taken was I by the record that I made a point of visiting her entire discography. Follow my lead as you will find it well worth the investment of your time.
- Ray LaMontagne, one of my personal faves, never disappoints and Monovision really made my week. Totally unexpected and really took the edge off some recent nervous moments.
- Thomas Dutronc’s Frenchy a total grab-bag for just about any Francophile on the planet.
- Eugenio Della Chiarra’s Schubert: A Portrait on Guitar was a real shocker. I never thought of wondered about any of Schubert’s compositions played on the guitar. I had to listen and re-listen again and again. So fresh and so new to my ears.
