New Album Releases Project 2020-9-12

By: |

This week’s New Releases shines the spotlight brightly on Classical music, a bumper crop indeed. For those of you dis-inclined do take note of new albums by The Flaming Lips, The Pineapple Thief, Afel Boucom, Chick Corea and Terje Rypdal. And, in the Re-Issues, Re-Masters & Miscellany category:  Earth Wind and Fire, Marvin Gaye, Fleetwood Mac, The O’Jays and The Future Sound of London.

Taken on their own the Re-Issues, Re-Masters & Miscellany should be enough to tide just about anyone over without the New Releases.

The BBC Radiophonic Workshop really came out of left-field for me and fans of electronica should flock to this.

Carl Schuricht, the conductor, perhaps best known as an instructor/mentor of others is indeed a first-rate maestro in his own right and this 30-CD box set exists as testament.
